Kara Kopach, Executive Director 

Kara joined NJEDA in 2014 and has worked for FMERA since 2015, when she joined as a member of the Real Estate Development team. In her role as Deputy Executive Director of FMERA, Kara had direct responsibility for the marketing, development, and financial plans associated with FMERA’s mission of redeveloping Fort Monmouth. She oversaw the Real Estate Development team, leading contract negotiations and project management of the Fort’s prospective buyers, investors, and entrepreneurs, prior to taking on the role of Executive Director.  In her new capacity, Kara retains direct responsibility for advancing FMERA’s mission of redeveloping Fort Monmouth, overseeing all Real Estate and Facilities & Infrastructure initiatives, as well as representing the organization through the FMERA Board, committees, and with stakeholders.

Kara is a graduate of the University of Scranton and Seton Hall University of Law. She is also a lifelong resident of Eatontown, which only strengthens her passion to see the Fort brought back to life via FMERA’s redevelopment efforts.
